However, he must be cautious not to compromise any part of his religion or cooperate with them in their schemes, and he must ensure that his heart does not incline towards them due to their favor. If he feels an inclination in his heart because of the gift, then he should not accept it. Indeed, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, accepted gifts from disbelievers and gave gifts to them.
