What is the ruling on working in usurious banks? What is the ruling on obtaining a loan from a bank with a subsidized interest rate (9%) while receiving a higher interest rate upon deposit (11%), and is this considered usury or a special privilege for bank employees?

It is not permissible to work in interest-based banks due to the assistance it provides in sin. It is also not permissible to borrow from them with interest, whether little or much. It is not permissible for employees to take interest-based loans under the pretext that the interest they receive covers or exceeds what the bank takes. It is not permissible to deposit money in a savings account in exchange for interest received by the customer. One must immediately leave work in interest-based banks. Whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
