The answer

It is impermissible to deposit money in interest-based banks except out of necessity (to preserve money), when an Islamic bank is not available. This should be done in a current account (without interest). If interest accrues on this account, one must dispose of it by spending it on charitable causes. There is no objection to receiving a prize through this account.
