Is the Fajr prayer at home to be recited aloud or silently, and is it sufficient in place of the Subh prayer?

It is recommended to perform congregational prayer in the mosque due to its great reward. If a Muslim prays in congregation at home, the Imam recites aloud during the Fajr prayer. As for someone praying alone, the correct view is that it is sunnah (definition) for him to recite aloud, like the Imam, while some scholars offered a choice between reciting aloud and silently. Reciting aloud is prescribed for the Imam and the one praying alone, and silent recitation is for the follower. Loud recitation is sunnah in the two rak'ahs of Fajr, Maghrib, Isha, and Jumu'ah prayers, and silent recitation is sunnah in Dhuhr, Asr, the third rak'ah of Maghrib, and the third and fourth rak'ahs of Isha, by agreement of Muslims. The pre-Fajr sunnah prayer is sunnah to be recited silently according to the majority. Fajr prayer and Subh prayer are two names for one obligatory prayer performed from the appearance of true dawn until sunrise, and the sunnah prayer does not suffice for the obligatory prayer.
