It is permissible for a woman to supplicate that God makes a specific man her destiny, while avoiding prohibited means. Instead, she should ask her guardian or someone else to inform the man of her desire. If he agrees, then that is good; otherwise, goodness lies in what God has chosen. The negligence of a father and brothers in prayer is painful, and they should be advised gently and kindly.
