The answer

There is no sin upon one who sleeps before the time for prayer enters, even if he presumes he will miss it, because he is not addressed by it during his sleep. However, some scholars have stated the obligation of taking measures to help one wake up, such as setting an alarm. Prayer holds a great status in Islam; it is the first thing a servant will be questioned about, and part of observing it is performing it on time and in the mosque in congregation.
