Why does Allah punish me by depriving me of acts of worship that I mention to others, even though my intention is not to show off but to encourage and mention the blessings of Allah? And how do I reconcile this punishment with His saying, the Almighty: "But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]"?

A servant's discontinuation of worship is not related to mentioning it as long as he is not showing off by it, and concealing worship is closer to sincerity. It is advisable to maintain obedience and obligatory acts, while having a good intention and concealing worship. One can encourage others to obey by mentioning its virtues without informing them about performing it. If you attend congregational prayer and you are reading from those present, then step forward to lead, acting upon the Sunnah (definition).
