Scholars have differed regarding the attainment of the virtue of congregational prayer for one who catches the last . Some are of the view that he attains the virtue of the congregation, even if it is less than one who caught it from its beginning, and this is the correct . While others are of the view that the virtue of the congregation is only achieved by catching the bowing of the last rak'ah, citing as evidence the : "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the prayer has caught the prayer."
