Will the reward of congregational prayer be counted for one who caught up with the Imam in the last Tashahhud?

Scholars have differed regarding the attainment of the virtue of congregational prayer for one who catches the last tashahhud (definition). Some are of the view that he attains the virtue of the congregation, even if it is less than one who caught it from its beginning, and this is the correct madhhab (definition). While others are of the view that the virtue of the congregation is only achieved by catching the bowing of the last rak'ah, citing as evidence the hadith (definition): "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the prayer has caught the prayer."
