Is it authentically reported from the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that whoever performs ablution and faces the Qibla, then recites Surat Ash-Shams, Al-Layl, and At-Tin daily before sleeping, an angel will descend to him and say: “You have been relieved [of your worries]”? And is it permissible to do so if it is not authentically reported?

It has not been reported in the books of Sunnah (definition) or scholarly compilations that there is any specific virtue in reciting certain surahs for fulfilling needs and easing affairs. While the entire Qur’an is a blessing and a healing, worship is built upon divine injunction (tawqif), so it is not permissible to commit to reciting specific surahs believing in a virtue that has not been proven by evidence.
