Is there a Hadith concerning the wearing of a "taqiyah" (skullcap) during prayer?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
There is no شرعي (legally binding) evidence for the obligation or recommendation of praying with a طاقية (skullcap). However, some jurists, such as the Hanafis, disliked praying with an uncovered head, and praying without it is permissible by scholarly consensus.
