Is there any authentic narration from the Prophet (peace be upon him) indicating the obligation of performing the Sunnah of Dhuhr as four rak'ahs?

The of Dhuhr prayer has been reported in several forms: two rak'ahs before it and two after it; or four rak'ahs before Dhuhr and two after it; or four rak'ahs before Dhuhr and four after it. It is best to perform these sometimes and those other times. The obligatory prayers are the five daily prayers and the Friday prayer; all other prayers are supererogatory (nafl) and are not obligatory.
