Whoever misses the Witr prayer due to sleep, and thereby misses out on a great reward, if he wishes to make it up, he should pray it as an even number. So, if his Witr was three rak'ahs, he should pray four; and if five, he should pray six, and so on. Making up the Witr prayer is not obligatory upon him.
