Purity from impurity is a condition for the validity of prayer. Therefore, whoever prays knowingly with impurity on their garment, their prayer is invalid and must be repeated. However, for one who prayed with impurity unknowingly and then learned of it after the prayer, there is a difference of opinion among jurists on this matter.
