What is the ruling regarding the prayers of someone who prayed while in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) and did not realize it until after several prescribed prayers (furood), and what must they do?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
The prayers that were performed without from (ritual impurity) must be redone, because ghusl is a condition for the validity of prayer, due to the Almighty’s saying: "And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves." And knowing about the obligation of ghusl after the time has passed does not affect the obligation to repeat (the prayers).
