Why are the hands placed on the chest during prayer?

Placing the right hand over the left in prayer is an established from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, based on the of Wa'il ibn Hujr in Muslim. The method is to place the right hand over the left, below the chest and above the navel. The wisdom behind this is to demonstrate extreme humility before Allah and to keep the hands from fidgeting.
