Has the door of ijtihad been closed or not? And what about ijtihad?

Allah sent His Messenger Muhammad, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, with the religion of Islam as the seal of the prophets, abrogating previous religions, and made His book dominant over all books. He perfected the religion through him, which indicates its suitability for every time and place, and its ability to meet the changing needs of creation. Allah legislated ijtihad (definition) (independent reasoning) in this nation to achieve this. Muslims have unanimously agreed on the permissibility of ijtihad and its prevalence in the early era of the Ummah. The disagreement lies in whether its door was closed later. However, the correct view is that the door of ijtihad remains open, provided its legally recognized conditions are met, and the claim that it has been closed is refuted by the Qur’an and Sunnah (definition).
