Scholars differed regarding the ruling on one who intentionally abandons prayer; some believe he is a disbeliever, while others consider it a lesser disbelief. In any case, missed prayers must be made up with sincere repentance and abundant seeking of forgiveness, and one should stay away from bad company and accompany righteous people.
