Is it obligatory to make up all prayers missed since puberty, as well as prayers performed while in a state of janabah due to unlawful masturbation without knowing they were invalid, and how does one make up these prayers that have been neglected for approximately six years?

Scholars differ regarding making up prayers for one who missed them due to laziness, and for one who prayed while unknowingly lacking a condition. The majority of scholars obligate making up and repeating these prayers. It is necessary to make up missed prayers after reaching the age of puberty (indicated by the emission of semen, growth of coarse hair around the private parts, or completing 15 years of age; females also have menstruation and pregnancy as signs). Masturbation is forbidden and does not necessitate ghusl (definition) unless semen is discharged, in which case ghusl is required for the prayer to be valid. It is necessary to make up as many missed prayers as possible. Some scholars mentioned making up two days' worth of prayers in one day. Repentance must be achieved through remorse and a firm resolve not to abandon prayer again.
