The cure for obsessions (waswas) is to disregard them and pay no attention to them, for succumbing to them leads to great evil. It is not permissible to abandon prayer as long as a person is sane. As for prayers intentionally missed, there is a well-known difference of opinion among scholars regarding the obligation of making them up. If a person is afflicted with obsessive thoughts, there is no harm for him in acting upon the opinion of those who do not deem making them up obligatory.
