Purity from menstruation is achieved by one of two signs: complete dryness or the emission of a white discharge. If a woman sees either of these two signs, she must immediately perform ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) and pray, even if it is before the end of her usual period. If she delays performing ghusl after seeing the sign of purity, she must make up the prayers she missed after their times had begun. This making up of prayers must be done immediately without delay, unless it is difficult for her, in which case she may divide the make-up prayers.
