Is it permissible for twelve worshippers to agree to bring a Bangladeshi worker who is a memorizer of the Qur’an to be an imam and muezzin and to take care of the cleanliness of the mosque, with each of them bearing his salary for one month, and if it is not permissible, what is the legitimate way to secure his salary?

There is no objection to the group bringing in a man to perform the mosque's duties, such as leading prayers (Imamah), calling to prayer (Adhan (definition)), and cleaning, as long as the mosque does not have an official Imam. It is permissible for each individual in the group to bear the Imam's salary for a month if there is no official body to provide his salary. It is preferable to collect sufficient money for his salary for one year and entrust it to a trustworthy person to manage the monthly payments, rather than relying on multiple individuals. The Imam should be a knowledgeable scholar (faqih), proficient in the Quran, pious, and committed to the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Inquiries about him should be made before bringing him in.
