The answer

Prayer holds a great status in Islam; it is the first thing a servant will be questioned about on the Day of Judgment, and abandoning it is one of the greatest sins. Whoever has missed prayers must make them up immediately, according to their ability. If the missed prayers are numerous, the questioner should make up two days' worth of prayers in one day (ten missed prayers), unless she is unable to do so due to being preoccupied with earning a livelihood for herself or her dependents, in which case she should only make up five prayers per day.
