The question

Should I pray Isha first and then Fajr, or should I pray Fajr and then pray Isha with the Isha of the following day, given that I missed the Isha prayer and woke up at the time of the Fajr adhan?

The answer

Whoever sleeps through a prayer must pray it upon waking, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If one of you oversleeps or is heedless of a prayer, he should pray it when he remembers it, for Allah says: 'Establish prayer for My remembrance.'" It is not permissible to delay making up a missed Isha prayer until the Isha of the following day; rather, it must be prayed before Fajr, unless one fears missing the Fajr prayer time. Order must be observed in making up missed prayers.
