The answer

Allah Almighty mentioned that woe is to those who pray but are heedless of their prayers, meaning those who neglect them and are lenient in observing them. This negligence is a major sin. Whoever has done so must offer sincere repentance, seek forgiveness, feel remorse, and resolve never to return to abandoning prayer. Allah accepts sincere repentance as long as the servant has not reached the death rattle. The conditions for repentance are: abandoning the sin, regretting having committed it, and resolving never to return to it. Along with repentance, one must make up for missed prayers, and the making up should be done in a way that does not cause undue hardship, while frequently seeking forgiveness and performing good deeds, for indeed good deeds efface evil deeds, and Allah transforms the evil deeds of the repentant into good deeds.
