The answer

We ask Allah to heal your brother. We inform you that if a patient with psychosis has an affected mind and loses control over his actions, he is not held accountable for them and is not required to make up for missed prayers. However, if he regains lucidity sometimes and is aware for part of the prayer time, then he must make up for that [prayer]. His condition should be determined by specialized doctors.
