If the Imam or a person praying alone forgets the first in a three- or four-rak'ah prayer and does not remember until after he has stood up completely, he continues his prayer and performs two prostrations of forgetfulness ( al-sahw) before the salutations of peace (), and he does not perform the Tashahhud after the third rak'ah.
