Does suffering from cohabitation with jinn, despite persistent prayer and remembrance of God, mean Allah's displeasure, or is it a trial? And what is the way to recover from that?
Whoever feels afflicted by jinn should fortify themselves with acts of obedience and distance themselves from sins, because negligence in these matters enables jinn to overpower humans. Shariah (Islamic exorcism) is also prescribed, along with patience and supplication. It is advised to regularly recite the prescribed remembrances in the morning and evening, upon entering and exiting the home, and upon entering the lavatory. One should not sleep without clothes or in transparent clothes, and should not sleep alone. It is also recommended to apply oil, over which Quranic verses have been recited, daily before sleeping. One should also maintain the recitation of Ayatul Kursi and the last verses of Al-Baqarah before sleeping, and recite Surah Al- and the two Mu'awwidhat (Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas) three times in the morning and evening. This matter could be psychological, or due to the jinn's oppression or affection, though the latter is rare.
