What should one do if afflicted by jinn possession due to the jinn's love for them, how can one prevent and treat this, and what harm might befall them?
A person's protection from jinn is achieved by frequently reciting Surahs Al- and Al-Mu'awwidhatayn, reading Surat Al-Baqarah in the home, reciting the morning and evening adhkar, purifying the home from forbidden things, and frequently reciting the Quran.
A Muslim should believe that what has befallen him could not have missed him, and what has missed him could not have befallen him, and that whatever harm sorcerers inflict can only be by Allah's permission. He must rely on Allah and hold fast to Him. It is also permissible to contact those who perform lawful , among people of righteousness and knowledge, and to stay away from charlatans.
