Is continuous سلس (incontinence) that lasts for some, most, or a little of the time considered a permanent state, permitting the application of the Maliki school's rulings, or is ablution required for every prayer if the سلس is infrequent and its times of occurrence are unknown, and repeated ablution is difficult due to excessive waswas (whispers/obsessive thoughts)?

He whose time of cessation of the event (ritual impurity) is unknown and irregular is considered to be in the same ruling as one afflicted with سلس (incontinence). He performs ablution (wudu') for every prayer after its time has begun, and whatever exits from him does not harm him until that time expires. He is not obliged to perform ablution for this continuous event. This is the madhhab (definition) of the Malikis and the choice of Ibn Taymiyyah, and there is no harm in acting upon it, especially for one afflicted with whisperings (waswas).
