Is it permissible to combine Salat al-Istikhara—to ask whether it is better to continue with the marriage or not—and Salat al-Hajah—to request the completion of this marriage—for an innocent imprisoned person to whom I am already religiously married?

The Salah (definition) al-Hajah (definition) (Prayer of Need) is permissible for the release of the husband from captivity and for the continuation of marital life. However, Istikhara (Prayer for Guidance) is not permissible in this matter, because the wife's remaining with her husband is obligatory, and seeking divorce without a valid excuse is forbidden. She is permitted to seek a divorce if she is harmed by the husband's imprisonment, especially if he has not left her with maintenance.
