Is there a specific threat or sin associated with singing, drumming, and musical instruments during the Adhan or Iqamah?

Singing, drumming, and musical instruments are forbidden at all times and in all circumstances. Their reprehensibility increases at the time of the Athan (call to prayer) and Iqamah (definition) (second call to prayer), due to the disregard for prayer that they entail. Although there is no specific warning against their prohibition during the Athan, whoever intentionally engages in them at the time of the Athan and Iqamah is feared to fall under the warning mentioned in the verse: (And when you call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and amusement. That is because they are a people who do not reason) [Al-Ma'idah: 58], because their action resembles that of the Jews at the time of the Athan.
