The answer

One who passes in front of a worshipper must be repelled, based on the Prophet’s ﷺ saying: (If any of you prays facing something that shields him from people, and someone wants to pass in front of him, he should push him away. If he refuses, he should fight him, for he is a devil). The meaning of "he should fight him" is: he should push him away forcefully. However, if a child passes frequently and preventing him distracts the worshipper from his prayer, then he should leave him at that point and not be preoccupied with preventing him. It is not permissible for him to move from his place to push him away, nor to exert much effort in repelling him.
