If you are staying in Abu Dhabi for four days or more, you are permitted to avail yourself of the concessions of travel (rukhs al-safar) if the ship covers the distance that allows for the shortening of prayers (83 km). However, if you come directly from Jordan to work at sea without an intention to stay for four days in a specific location, and since the ship is constantly moving, your ruling is that of a traveler. Therefore, you are permitted to avail yourself of the concessions of travel, such as shortening prayers (qasr) and breaking the fast (fitr).
