The answer

A person is considered a traveler as long as they are outside their homeland, even if they have relatives there. They must pray with the congregation, completing the prayer. However, if they are accompanied by one or more people, they can shorten the prayer or complete it with the local congregation. If a traveler intends to stay for more than four days, they must complete the four-rak'ah prayer, whether praying individually or in congregation.
