What should a sister in Islam do if she is unable to perform the Asr prayer on time due to travel conditions in Damascus? Is it permissible for her to combine Asr with Dhuhr, by performing it earlier, or should she pray it on the bus?

There is no doubt that for a woman to disembark from the bus under the aforementioned circumstances is dangerous for her. She is not permitted to combine Asr with Dhuhr according to the majority of scholars. However, if she fears missing the time for Asr, she should pray in the bus as best as she can. And if she repeats the prayer as a precaution after reaching home, that is good. Some scholars are of the opinion that combining prayers is permissible due to need, as long as it is not taken as a habit.
