Are there specific days when intercourse is recommended, and is intercourse disliked on Wednesday and Sunday nights and at sunset?

Sexual intercourse is recommended on Friday due to its resulting in lowering the gaze and prompting the wife to perform ghusl (ritual bath). As for its being disliked at a specific time, such as sunset, or on certain nights, there is no evidence to support this. The default rule is that sexual intercourse is permissible at all times, except for what the Sharia has forbidden, such as during menstruation and postpartum bleeding.
