The answer

Whoever is in a state of major ritual impurity () must perform (full ritual bath) for prayer. He must perform it in advance so that he can perform the entire prayer within its prescribed time; otherwise, he is sinful unless he has an excuse. He must perform the prayer fully and not shorten it, even if a part of it falls outside the time. Whoever shortens it must make it up. Whoever has missed prayers to make up must make them up fully, unless they were missed during travel and he makes them up while traveling, in which case he may shorten them.
