How can one differentiate between the yellowish discharge of menstruation, the discharge after purification, and the yellowish discharge that appears after menstruation, taking into consideration the saying of Aisha, "Do not be hasty until you see the white discharge," and the Hanafis' ruling that brownish and yellowish discharges are considered menstruation?

There are no scholarly implications in distinguishing between yellowish and brownish discharge (ṣufrah and kudrah) and prostatic fluid (wady) if there is confusion between them. Yellowish and brownish discharge are considered menstruation during the time of menstruation, and not considered menstruation outside of that time. A menstruating woman remains in that state until she sees one of the two signs of purity (dryness or the white discharge). Whatever she sees before that, whether yellowish or brownish discharge, is considered menstruation. If she becomes pure and sees one of the two signs, then any yellowish or brownish discharge or prostatic fluid that appears thereafter is considered a normal discharge that only nullifies ablution (wuḍūʾ) and does not necessitate a ritual bath (ghusl (definition)).
