Is a wife sinful if she does not respond daily to her husband's sexual desires because of needing a ghusl (major ritual ablution), and delaying prayers due to the hardship of working long hours and performing household chores until midnight?

A wife must obey her husband if he calls her to bed, unless she has a legitimate excuse, such as being occupied with performing obligatory duties, or if intercourse would cause her harm, or if she is extremely tired. If there is an excuse, she should apologize gently and wisely. The difficulty of performing ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) is not an excuse to refuse intercourse; rather, the wife should perform tayammum (definition) (dry ablution) if she is unable to perform ghusl. The husband must provide for his family. Both spouses are advised to foster understanding, cooperation, and to be keen on maintaining affection and mercy.
