Is cupping permissible while in a state of ritual impurity (janabah)?

There is no objection to a person in a state of ritual impurity (junub) performing cupping (hijamah) or having someone else perform it on him. Imam al-Bukhari titled a chapter in his Sahih (definition): "Chapter: The Junub Person Goes Out and Walks in the Market and Elsewhere." And Ata' said: "The junub person may perform cupping, trim his nails, and shave his head, even if he has not performed ablution (wudu')." Ibn Rajab mentioned that the junub person may delay performing the ritual bath (ghusl (definition) al-janabah (definition)) as long as the prayer time has not become too short for him, and he may attend to his needs and leave his house. And what he narrated from Ata' means that it is not disliked for thejunub person to remove hair or nails while in a state of janabah, nor to draw his blood through cupping or other means. Imam Ahmad said regarding the junub person who performs cupping, removes some of his hair or nails, or dyes himself: "There is no harm in it." No disagreement on this matter is known, except for what Abu al-Faraj al-Shirazi mentioned regarding the dislike of removing hair and nails, citing a very weak marfu' hadith (definition) as evidence.
