Is it permissible to apply perfume that contains alcohol before ablution with the intention of smelling good for prayer, and is medical alcohol a pure or impure sanitizer?

A woman is permitted to apply perfume if she does not fear that men will smell her fragrance. It was not the practice of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to apply perfume before ablution (wudu’). Ablution is prescribed as preparation for communion with Allah. It is recommended for a menstruating woman to apply perfume after performing ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) upon the cessation of menstruation.

Some contemporary scholars hold that manufactured alcohol is not inherently impure, and therefore, there is no harm in using perfumes and products containing it, especially given its widespread use. Even according to the view that it is impure, its use is permissible if the alcohol content is minimal or if it has transformed into another substance. Many scholars also permit the touching of impurity on the outer body when there is a need.
