Is the circumambulation (tawaf al-ifadah) and the ritual walking (sa'y) of Hajj valid for a menstruating woman if she performs them immediately after her purification, and then sees only a thin streak of blood?

If a wife sees a thread of blood after the end of her menstrual period, her tawaf (definition) (circumambulation) is valid and this does not harm it. The tawaf is also valid if she performs ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) after ensuring the complete dryness of the area, even if this is during the menstrual period. This is based on the principle of talfiq (combining different juristic opinions). However, if she does not ensure dryness before performing ghusl, then her tawaf is considered to be during menstruation, which is a matter of scholarly disagreement. The majority of scholars hold that it is not sufficient (ghayr mujzi’), while some consider it valid but with the obligation of a fidyah (definition) (expiation) of a sheep or a camel. If the tawaf is invalid, she must remain in her state of ihram (definition) and avoid its prohibitions until she performs tawaf and sa'i (running between Safa and Marwah).
