Is the emission of semen due to friction with clothes, without using the hand, considered masturbation, and what is its ruling?

Masturbation is forbidden, whether it is done by hand or by other means such as clothes and bedding, because it falls under the general category of impermissible gratification, according to the Almighty’s saying: "Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed But whoever seeks beyond that – then those are the transgressors." And whoever masturbates must perform ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) for janabah (definition) (major ritual impurity) when semen is emitted, according to the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Water is from water."
