The answer

The emission of wind during (ritual bath) does not invalidate it or necessitate its repetition; it only invalidates wudu (ablution). Therefore, whoever emits wind during ghusl should renew their wudu after completing the ghusl. Washing hands with soap before ghusl is valid if they are subsequently washed with water until the soap's residue is removed. The intention to remove major ritual impurity suffices for the intention to remove minor ritual impurity, but it is preferable to perform wudu before ghusl.
