What is the ruling on exaggerating when washing the limbs during ablution and wiping the head and ears, and raising one's voice when reciting during prayer due to intrusive thoughts (waswas)?

We advise you to continue striving against yourself and repelling whispers (waswas), and to adhere to the Sunnah (definition) in ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) by not exceeding three times, and in wiping the head, content yourself with passing a wet hand over it. Similarly, in recitation, strive to whisper in its designated place, knowing that prayer is not invalidated by audibly reciting in a place meant for whispering, but the virtue is missed thereby.
