What is the ruling on hair transplant procedures that involve attaching hair with a special adhesive that prevents water from reaching some parts of the head, and are ablution (wudu') and ritual bathing (ghusl) valid with it?

Attaching hair to the head or scalp, whether natural or artificial, is considered an unlawful hair extension (wasl) and a major sin, due to the hadith (definition): "May Allah curse the woman who lengthens hair and the woman who asks for hair to be lengthened." And because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said regarding hair extensions: "Indeed, the Children of Israel were destroyed when their women adopted this (practice)," and he "called it زور (deceit/falsification)." Furthermore, this attachment prevents water from reaching the scalp, which invalidates ghusl (definition) (ritual bath). As for hair transplantation, where hair grows naturally after a surgical procedure, it is permissible because it removes a defect and restores the matter to its original creation.
