What is the ruling on touching the private parts with the right hand or washing them with it or with the left hand during ghusl from major ritual impurity?

It is from the Sunnah (definition) to use the right hand or present it for everything that is honorable, and the left hand for removing harm. Washing the private parts should be done with the left hand, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did when performing ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) after major impurity; for he "poured with his right hand and washed his private parts with his left hand." A Muslim should avoid using his right hand to wash the private parts. Some scholars hold the view that touching the penis with the right hand when not urinating is permissible, but it is more cautious not to touch it with the right hand at all, out of respect for it.
