Is it true that disposing of fingernails after clipping them is unlawful (haram), and must they be buried?

Trimming and removing nails is prescribed as part of the acts of fitra (natural disposition). There is no harm in discarding them, and it is not obligatory to bury them. It is permissible to throw them in the trash or bury them. However, if one fears that they might fall into the hands of sorcerers, then one should bury them or dispose of them in a place where sorcerers cannot reach them.
