Does sand that has been defiled by a cat and then falls onto the floor and carpets become defiled? And do the places where the cat moves become defiled if it touches an impurity and then walks on them? And does the carpet become defiled if water that was used to wash the cat from feces falls on it? And is there a way to guard against impurity while keeping the cat?

There is no need to get rid of the cat. The sand scattered [around] and that which is on its body is originally pure. Its impurity is not decreed unless one is certain that it has been contaminated with an impurity. The water that separates after purifying the site of impurity, or that which has not been altered by it, is judged to be pure.
