The question

Does the impurity of the furnishing transfer if wetness moves from clothes to the furnishing after performing istinja' during the menstrual period, given that there is no trace of blood or impurity when the clothes and furnishing dry? And is it sufficient to pour pure water on the spot of impurity to purify furnishing that cannot be wrung out, in the absence of a trace of impurity? And how is it purified if there is a trace of impurity?

The answer

The questioner is still suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder, and this question is a continuation of responding to it. The wetness on clothes after ablution (') is water wetness, not impurity, so it does not render the bedding or sofa impure. We advise her to stop giving in to these obsessions and to know that she will not find comfort except by overcoming them through ignoring them. The default state of things is purity, and if she doubts the impurity of something, it is not ruled impure except with certainty, because certainty is not removed by doubt.
